Sit back and enjoy a virtual tour of four Hampshire churches, all with a connection to gin. You will learn a little about the history of each church, their links with gin and a bit about the botanicals of gin distilling along the way.
The trail starts at Holy Trinity Church in Privett, built by the Nicholson Family who have produced Nicholson Gin since 1736. It then moves on to St Mary’s Church at Itchen Stoke situated by watercress beds used by Winchester Gin to flavour their signature gin and then to St Mary the Virgin Old Church in Preston Candover learning about the use of sloes and juniper and how they are also used as botanicals. The final destination is St Nicholas’ Church in Freefolk, just a stone’s throw from the famous Bombay Sapphire distillery. Select 'Set Reminder' under the video which will Youtube to remind you when the performance goes live, provided that you are logged into your Youtube account, and enjoy.
